Veer Savarkar was born on 28 May 1883 in Nashik, Bhaglpur. Savarkar's full name was Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Veer Savarkar was not only a freedom fighter but a politician, lawyer, social reformer. His father's name was Damodparant Savarkar and mother's name was Radhabai. Savarka's parents died in childhood. He was strongly influenced by his elder brother (Babararo).
He was embellished with the vir surname for his bravery and courage. He completed his graduation from 'Ferguson College', Pune. and completed his Bachelor’s Degree. He studied the law in England's "Gray's Law" College. Shyamji Krishna Verma was his good friend, he helped Savarkar to go to Inland. Savarkar inspired Indian students and formed "Free India Society" in 1857.
